Celebrity Pickleball Bash Coming to San Francisco’s Warfield Theatre Feb. 15-16

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (October 21, 2024) – Celebrity Pickleball Bash is coming to San Francisco Feb. 15-16, 2025 at the Warfield Theatre, hosted by local legends Brandi Chastain, Chris Mullin, Hunter Pence, and Terrell Owens. The event will feature a bevy of celebrities playing alongside professional pickleball players for a showcase that combines sport and on-court entertainment.
Headlining the list of equity partners for Celebrity Pickleball Bash are comedian Anthony Anderson, country pop singer Jessie James Decker, former NFL wide receiver Eric Decker, actor and event emcee Mario Lopez, PIVOT Agency founder and CEO/former Warriors executive Ben Shapiro, and current CEO of rhode skin Nick Vlahos.
“The entire PIVOT Agency team couldn’t be more excited to bring Celebrity Pickleball Bash to the San Francisco Bay Area,” Shapiro said. “Pickleball has grown immensely over the past few years, and it’s time for the sport to have a series of showcase events that give fans this type of experience. The Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) will serve as a strategic partner in Celebrity Pickleball Bash, collectively aiming to grow the sport. Celebrity Pickleball Bash will also feature several professional pickleball players, including: Christian Alshon, Hayden Patriquin, Parris Todd, and Jessie Irvine.
“Having seen what showcase events can do for fan engagement in basketball, I’m a big believer in the potential for Celebrity Pickleball Bash,” Mullin said. “To launch in the Bay Area, a place that has meant a lot to me over my playing career for the Golden State Warriors as well as many years living here, I just couldn’t be more excited about this event. And I can’t wait to hit the court.”
“This event is going to be an amazing experience for fans,” Owens said. “I’m a big pickleball player, and I personally can’t wait to get onto the court for this thing. To do it in the Bay Area in this fashion, it’s going to be special.”
Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) will serve as the charitable partner of Celebrity Pickleball Bash for the first event (February 15-16) in San Francisco. Founded in 1998 in the San Francisco Bay Area, PCA's mission is to change the culture of youth sports so that every child, regardless of social or economic circumstance, has access to a positive youth sports experience. With programming in all 50 states, PCA has reached over 20 million youth over the years and continues to expand its reach through creative partnerships, including with Curry Brand, Deloitte, Dove, SportsEngine, TeamSnap, dozens of professional sports teams, as well as professional sports leagues like the NBA, MLB, and the NWSL, and now Celebrity Pickleball Bash.
